Who employs the team member?
Ledgerline does. We handle the contract, payroll, tax, benefits, equipment and HR. You direct their daily work as you would with your own staff.
Which hours will they work?
Your hours. All three branches (Johannesburg, Harare and Lusaka) are on UTC+2, which overlaps fully with the UK and Europe. US clients get an afternoon or evening shift, and Australian clients an early-morning shift.
How good is their English?
English is an official language in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia, and the language of schooling and university teaching in all three. Every candidate passes a timed written test and a recorded spoken interview, which you can watch.
What does it cost?
From $990 a month part-time, and $1,690–$2,490 a month full-time, all-inclusive. See the cost.
Is there a contract or lock-in?
No. Month-to-month with 30 days' notice. An annual commitment saves 5%.
What happens if my team member is sick or on leave?
A trained bench member who has been briefed on your work covers planned leave. For sick days, we arrange cover where possible.
What about power cuts?
Our office runs on solar with a lithium battery bank, a UPS at every desk and two internet lines. Outages over 2 hours a month are credited.
How is my data protected?
Office-only work on locked-down company devices, a VPN, multi-factor authentication and a Data Processing Agreement. See data security.
Can I interview candidates?
Yes. You receive recorded interviews with every profile, and you can interview them live on video.
How quickly can someone start?
Usually within about 7 working days of the discovery call.
How do I pay?
Monthly in advance by card or bank transfer, in USD, GBP, ZAR or ZMW. The first invoice comes after the free first week.
Can I hire them directly later?
Yes, after 12 months, for a published conversion fee of one month's fee.
