What our most successful clients do.
Write down the first 30 days
List the tasks for week 1, weeks 2–3 and week 4. Start with routine, well-documented work, and add judgement-based tasks as confidence grows.
Record short how-to videos
A five-minute screen recording (Loom or Teams) of how you do a task saves hours of back-and-forth, and becomes your training library.
Name one manager
One person directs daily work and answers questions. Mixed instructions from several people slow everyone down.
Hold a 15-minute daily check-in for two weeks
Short and regular beats long and rare. After the first fortnight, move to two or three check-ins a week.
Use a shared task list
Asana, Trello, Planner or a shared spreadsheet: one place where tasks, deadlines and status live.
Include them in the team
Add them to team chats and meetings, and introduce them to colleagues. People who feel part of the team stay longer and do better work.
Review the scorecard together
Use the monthly scorecard to praise what works and agree one thing to improve next month.
A simple first-week plan
- Day 1: welcome call, system access, introductions
- Days 2–3: shadow and record two routine tasks
- Days 4–5: do those tasks with a review at the end of each day
- End of week: agree the task list for weeks 2–4
Signs it's going well
- Questions get more specific
- Tasks come back ready to use, not just done
- You stop checking every item
- They suggest improvements to your process
